THE NEED FOR HEALING
In our busy, high tech world, there is an urgent need for healing. The 24-hour culture has left many feeling strung out, overwhelmed and anxious both at home and work. Juggling the demands of family, friends and colleagues can be very stressful, on top of dealing with physical, mental and emotional ill-health.
Energy healing and relaxation techniques can help to redress this balance by bringing a sense of peace and clarity. Energy healing can also act as a starting point for self-healing and positive change.
HEALING TECHNIQUES
For me, a simple approach is best. I believe that everyone can access their own healing energies through breathwork and visualisation. We may not be able to ‘heal’ ourselves completely of disease or mental instability but visualisation, meditation and energy healing can bring a sense of calm, stillness, perspective and well-being.
Colour is very important and working with the chakras is the starting (and end!) point for all energy work. The spiritual energy can help give clarity to situations and work can be done on blockages, boundaries and past trauma. Spiritual healing can never replace medical help but it can be used to create healthy habits, manage negative thoughts, understand the impact of thought patterns and limiting beliefs, release stagnant energy and encourage positive change. In my practice, I use these techniques:
Abdominal breathing
Relaxation and visualisation
Guided meditations
Energy healing (channelling energy through the hands)
